Instruction for Skill Summit

To motivate the students and to enable the institutions and industries to come out with creative designs of new products and innovative workable ideas for industry and service sector, Government vide G.O.Ms.No.31, Labour & Employment (S1) Dept, dated 8.3.2017 have issued orders to conduct State Level Skill Summit.

State Level Skill summit is meant to provide hands on experiences that would inspire young minds to explore the world of skills in the vocational sphere. As of now, in Tamil Nadu there is no avenue to display their skills, so a platform has been created to give the skilled youth an opportunity to display their talent and prowess in any trade. Conduct of skill summit will go a long way to generate awareness among the general public about the scope of vocational skills and bring change in public perception towards skilled workers and blue collar jobs.

The Skill summit will be conducted at the state level and preliminaries will be conducted at the District level. The candidates who are ranked 1st in State Level Skill Competition, will have an opportunity to participate in the Regional Level, National Level and International Level Skill Competitions which will be a great opportunity to the candidate to showcase his skill and win laurels at different forums.
