It was established in 1963 then upgraded with Center of excellence to provide multi skill for the trainees to fulfill the requirements of industries. In Our Chengalpattu institution we have trained nearly 1200 trainees in 13 engineering and Non Engineering Trades with 49 Units every year. We have 50 Technical Staffs which includes Deputy Director, Training Officers, Assistant Training Officers and Junior Training Officers along with this we have 17 Ministerial Staffs including Administrative Officer. We have 15 class rooms, all trade Workshops and Two Smart Class rooms with Software Access. We are providing adequate water and toilet facilities to the trainees. Recently we have Skill Strengthening for Industrial Value Enhancement Program (STRIVE) for the trainees to Upgrade them with more skills.
