Admission Details
The craftsman training is provided to women with a view to prepare Semi Skilled workers for the Industry. The Educational qualification varies from class 8th pass to class 12th pass depending on the trades. The duration of training varies from one to two years in this Institute. The trainees after completion of craftsmen training appear in the all India trade test to get National Trade Certificate awarded by the National Council of Vocational Training, which is recognized for the purpose of recruitment to the subordinate technical posts at the shop floor level within the country as well as abroad. The state government through industrial training institute impart institutionalized vocational training scheme, which is one of the flagship programmes run by the DGE&T. One year on the job apprenticeship training is given to the ITI passed outs through Industries.
When and how to apply for admission to a trade in the ITI?
Apply through On Line www.skilltraining.tn.gov.in every year soon after the SSLC results are published in the month of June.
After applying the candidate has called for District level Interview and given chance to select the trade at Institute as per merit and Communal reservation policy basis done by counseling held on June. The candidate may choose the Trades
ADMISSION PROCEDURE:
Candidates can choose the trades on the counselling day strictly based on Merit, and as per the reservation policy by the Tamilnadu government as applicable from time to time.
AGE LIMIT:
The minimum age limit for admission to all the trades is 14 years in this Women ITI . There is no upper age limit to join in the courses.
