completion
of
craftsmen
training

trade
test
to
get
National
Trade
Certificate
awarded
by
the
National
Council
of
Vocational

floor
level

Industrial
Scenario
identified
Empowerment
of
Women
as
one
of
the
vital
objectives
of
the
Plan
and
had
stressed
on
the
preparation
of
'Component
Plans
for
Women'
in
every
sector
of
development.
It
was
felt
that
there
is
now
need
to
"Engender
the
Development
Process".
An
attempt
in
this
direction
would
require
identification
of
major
constraints,
which
hamper
the
productivity
of
women
technicians,
and
recommend
appropriate
policy
and
institutional
measures
to
overcome
constraints.
These
measures
may
be
in
terms
of
separate
training
for
them,
access
to
technology,
imparting
new
skills
through
a
combination
of
theoretical
training
and
practical
demonstrations
supplemented
with
hands
on
experiences
in
the
shop-
floor.
