Admission Details

The craftsman training is provided to trainee with a view to prepare Semi Skilled workers for the Industry. The Educational qualification varies from class 8th pass to class 12th pass depending on the trades. The duration of training varies from one to two years in this Institute. The trainees after completion of craftsmen training appear in the all India trade test to get National Trade Certificate awarded by the National Council of Vocational Training, which is recognized for the purpose of recruitment to the subordinate technical posts at the shop floor level within the country as well as abroad. The state government through industrial training institute impart institutionalized vocational training scheme, which is one of the flagship programmes run by the DGE&T. One year on the job apprenticeship training is given to the ITI passed outs through Industries.

When and how to apply for admission to a trade in the ITI?
Apply through On Line www.skilltraining.tn.gov.in every year soon after the SSLC results are published in the month of June. After applying the candidate has called for District level Interview and given chance to select the trade at Institute as per merit and Communal reservation policy basis done by counselling held on June. The candidate may choose the Trades

ADMISSION PROCEDURE:
Candidates can choose the trades on the counselling day strictly based on Merit, and as per the reservation policy by the Tamilnadu government as applicable from time to time.

AGE LIMIT:
The minimum age limit for admission to all the trades is 14 years . There is no upper age limit for women to join in the courses.

3. Caution Deposit Rs.100 (Refundable on successful completion of the course)
4. Sports fee Rs.10
5. Fees for Registration and Identification card Rs.25
6. Certificate verification fees Rs.50
7. Online Application Fees – Rs. 50

Stipend detail:
Stipend was given to all the Trainees as per the directions given by Government of Tamil Nadu.
Trainee stipend Monthly : 500/- every month

Reservation Policy followed in Admission:

NOTE: 5 seats are reserved for Ex.Service Men dependants in this Institute. These seats may be filled on merit basis by the other category applicants if suitable candidates in this category is not available as per the instructions by the government.
