Vocational training is an important subject under constitution. The central as well as the state government share the responsibility of implementing vocational training in the country. At the national level the Directorate General of Employment and training (DGE&T), Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship is the Nodal body. This formulates policies, norms and standards for training system, It conducts All India Trade Tests (AITT) and issue certificates of vocational training under the guidelines of an advisory body called National council of vocational training (NCVT).

On the backdrop of robust expansion in the existing training capacity,new trades are introducethrough PPP by the Central Government. A training grant of Rupees Two and half crore is sanctioned to this Institution for Introduction of new trades and to modernize the existing trades. The above fund is utilized as per the proposed Institutional Development Plan (IDP).
