The craftsman training is provided with a new to prepare Semi Skilled workers for
the Industry. The Educational Qualification varies from class 8th pass to class 10th
pass depending on the trades. The duration of training varies from one to two years
in this Institute. The trainees after completion of craftsman training appear in the
all India Trade test to get National Trade Certificate awarded by the National
Council of Vocational Training, which is recognized for the purpose of recruitment
to the subordinate technical posts at the shop floor level within the country as
well as abroad. The State Government through industrial Training Institute impart
institutionalized vocational training scheme, which is one of the flagship
programmes run by the DGE&T. One year on the job apprenticeship training is given to
the ITI passed outs through Industries.
Training is imparted in eleven different trades under this scheme.
