We believe that providing proper skill training to the youth is one of the best ways to improve the socio-economic conditions of Schedule Tribe people. This Government Industrial Training Institute provides skill training to the tribal youths from nearby villages around Kollihills. This institute has very good infrastructure to provide adequate training in all five trades. The staff takes utmost care of the trainees who are admitted in their respective trades. Additionally, it has a well-organized computer lab to teach employability skills to the trainees
The industry-institute tie-up is well-maintained in this institute to ensure that the trainees are aware of the up-to-date developments in industries. Trainees from all five trades are taken to various relevant industries for industrial visits and on-the-job training, providing them with exposure to the latest industrial environment during their course. Experts from industries and various organizations visit the institute to provide guest lectures to the trainees. Additionally, trainees are encouraged to participate in extracurricular activities such as sports, which helps in shaping them mentally and physically. Various steps are taken in consultation with the Institute Management Committee to maintain a good institutional environment.
