This institute was established in the year 2019 (Vide G.O.Ms. No: 135 Labour and employment(S1) Dated 02.08.2019). To impart training on various vocational trades. This Institute located at Sembodai Village, Vedaranyam Taluk, Nagapattinam - 614809. This campus consisting of 5 acres and 31 cent of land. In this Institute has trained ITI Graduates in different disciplines for the past two years. The campus consists of the Main workshop,Administrative Block and class rooms etc., The Institute function in two shifts in order to accustom trainees to the industry pattern and as well as to effectively use the Tools and Equipments available in the Institute.
To facilitate training as per the Craftsman Training Scheme. To implement all training schemes of the Government of India in a Meticulous and time bound manner. Ensure skill training is made available to maximum youth of the country.

To enable employment ready work force, the youth need to be equipped with the necessary skills and education. The paucity of highly – trained quality labour and non-employability of sum section of the educated work force are the dual challenges being faced by the Country.The skill development issue in the State in thus pertinent both at the demand and supply level. To meet the demand side challenge, consistent efforts are being made towards expansion of economic activities and creation of large employment opportunities. The supply side, is being managed in our state the training wing of employment and training department by creating the required skilled workforce with prescribed standard. Long term skill training is providing in various engineering and non-engineering courses through the industrial training institute and industrial schools.
